Dental Crowns & Bridges

Crowns & Bridges for a Stronger, Healthier Smile
Dental crowns and bridges are restorative treatments designed to strengthen, protect, and improve the appearance of damaged or missing teeth.
A crown is a custom-made covering placed over a weakened or heavily restored tooth to restore its shape, function, and strength. A bridge can replace one or more missing teeth by using neighbouring teeth as support, helping restore your ability to chew and smile confidently.
Why Do You Need a Crown or Bridge?
A crown or bridge may be recommended to restore the strength, function, and appearance of your teeth. Crowns are often needed for teeth that are weakened by large fillings, cracks, severe decay, or after root canal treatment to provide extra protection and prevent further damage.
Bridges are used to replace missing teeth, helping restore your bite, improve chewing ability, maintain facial support, and prevent neighbouring teeth from shifting into the gap.
Your dentist will carefully assess your oral health and discuss the most suitable option to achieve a strong, natural-looking, and long-lasting result.

Crown & Bridge Procedure, Cost and Risks
The crown or bridge procedure usually requires two appointments. During the first visit, our dentist will assess your tooth, prepare it for the restoration, and take the necessary digital scans or impressions. You will leave with a temporary crown or bridge to protect your tooth and maintain your smile while your custom-made restoration is being prepared.
At the second appointment, your permanent crown or bridge will be carefully fitted, checked for comfort, bite, and appearance before being securely placed. Our dentist will ensure the restoration blends naturally with your smile and functions comfortably.
The cost of a crown or bridge depends on factors such as the type of material selected, the complexity of the case, and your individual dental needs. Our team will provide a clear explanation of the treatment options and costs before proceeding.
Your Crown or Bridge Journey
As with any dental treatment, crowns and bridges may have some potential risks, including sensitivity, gum irritation, or the need for future maintenance or adjustment. Our experienced dental team will discuss the benefits, risks, and alternatives with you to help you make an informed decision.
Our dentists will take the time to understand your concerns, explain your options clearly, and provide treatment with care and expertise. We will also discuss all suitable alternatives, helping you choose the treatment option that best fits your oral health needs, preferences, and budget.

I’m 61 and never needed a dentist, then cracked a tooth. Doctor was amazing. She found I needed a couple of fillings Which scared me a bit as I had only heard horror stories about pain incurred, so was pretty nervous. No pain, very gentle and kind and explained everything as she went I hadn’t realised how sensitive my teeth Must’ve got - But now there is no sensitivity either So I must’ve needed the fillings Going back tomorrow for my last filling and from then on I will definitely be visiting every six months for a checkup! Thank you, teamPosted on Google![]()

Ashmore Smiles has always been responsive to my needs and explained well the procedures. I attended a different dentist for 15 years but when I had a dental emergency they couldn't find a timely appointment to even have a look at it. Ashmore Smiles went out of their way to fit me in and later even called to check on me when they were renovating their clinic. 5 stars!Posted on Google![]()
